Top 5 Fort Lauderdale Brunch Spots

This list includes the top 5 Brunch spots in Fort Lauderdale that I frequent often. As a local, there are certain aspects of a good brunch spot that I am privy towards. Not only do I expect good food, but I also look for an ambiance suitable to my visual appetite. In other words, I like a little bit of a food voyeur who loves a good view!

I’ll be straight forward, rarely does the good times last in south Florida so make sure you check back regularly for updates. In the meantime, I am happy to share the places that I have grown to love in SoFlo…

#1. Shooter’s Waterfront

I brag about this spot all the time and they should really send me a check for it (crickets), but I can’t not be honest and put them at the top of my faves list. I go to Shooter’s all the time and they always get me right, EVERY SINGLE TIME! (By the way, if you don’t have a reservation, keep scrolling.)

#2. YOT Bar & Kitchen

Located tucked away in a hidden neighborhood, this brunch spot has all the classic brunch menu items, but with boat views! To be completely honest I was shocked when I found it. I stumbled upon it when a friend mentioned going for happy hour (which is also pretty awesome) and ever since I make sure to bring my entire family when they’re looking for a quieter atmosphere (plus they pull out the old school much on Sunday’s)

#2. Java & Jam

Not what you’d think would be on the list, but like I said I like to brunch like a local. Java & Jam is located downtown Fort Lauderdale right on the corner. While they may not be waterfront like options #1 and #2, they do offer something a little different. Their atmosphere is a whole earthy and more calm. However, they stay busy so make sure you call ahead!

#3. The Foxy Brown

Definitely book a reservation or call ahead because this place ALWAYS has a list! I mean always… But if you manage to plan it right then you’re in luck for some amazing pancakes, Benedicts or whatever you decide to order. While they probably have the least variety of drink options for us non-mimosa drinkers, they make up for it in the quality of their food. I always order the short rib benny and a side of whatever specialty pancakes they’re serving for the day.

#4. Milk Money Bar & Kitchen

When I asked my husband what were his favorite brunch spots in Fort Lauderdale, he immediately shared Foxy Brown’s and Milk Money and I couldn’t disagree. This location is nestled away in a growing community not far from Flagler Village. They have the best coffee options and they also have my favorite steak breakfast combination.

#5. Tap 42

I struggled to put this place on the list, but I have to be honest with myself. When I have family come to town and they ask me where to go for the good vibes, I say Tap 42. I had one bad experience here that left me a little bitter, but to be honest I can’t think of any other time I was disappointed. I always order the steak and eggs over the hash brown, but end up staying a little longer because of the live music & good drinks!
