Choosing a Staycation… in SoFlo!
Going into summer this year feels different especially since it will technically be the first year Lauderdale locals will be “outside” without the agonizing microscopic lens of the nation. So now we get to ask ourselves, where should we stay?
Ironically enough, this will be my first summer as a married local and I can't wait to take staycations to new levels. So while this is really a bucket list of things that I hope to do and places I hope to see, I am excited to share this with others!
Staycation at the Hard Rock
The Hard Rock opened up and then shortly after the world shut down so we never really got to enjoy much of it. Of course the Hard Rock is back open now! We visited the Hard Rock on their grand opening night and had intentions on sitting pool side in the lazy river while sipping on a frozen drink with a floater. Of course that has not happened yet, but we’re looking forward to a full on staycation.
AIR BNB Staycation with a pool
Of course some will say its taboo to go to the beach and have zero plans on visiting the beach, but when you plan a family getaway or staycation you reconsider the beach plans because of all the tourist and the traffic. Here’s an AIRBNB I recommend that’s close enough to uber your way around Fort Lauderdale, but far enough to escape the tourist.
Staycation in Delray on Atlantic Ave
What I love about Delray is that it’s technically not the first place you think to go when you think of south Florida. While it has grown tremendously over the years, I still ping it as an underrated location for a staycation.
My pick: Rose Water Delray
